Strawberries and Tomatoes in a Super Cropper 15

Since I only have 10 strawberry plants growing in my Super Cropper 15 that is doing a trial of X-Nutrients (formerly Hydroponix) I decided to add in some Tumbler tomatoes to see how the two crops would do together. This entire tent is being powered by Hydro Grow LED lights now, with the strawberries under the 345W Penetrator and the tomatoes under a 126W Generation-X Penetrator. I am excited to be trying this combo grow as I am sure that many people would love to be able to grow delicious cherry tomatoes and strawberries in a small corner of a...

Trial Grows – Hydroponix Part 2

I am very happy with the results of my Hydroponix product trials. The strawberries grow rate easily doubled after the switch from the commercial formulation. pH management also became a whole lot easier. The plants began to produce many runners which allowed me to propagate them into the grow spaces that were not filled. Right now my goal is to veg the plants to a size that I feel will support heavy production before allowing them to set fruits. I also had 100% success using the mx-clone gel to clone my basil plants right in the Super Cropper...

In preparation for the launch of our Super Cropper Pro models we are evaluating nutrients solutions to bundle with our systems. We always strive to provide our customers with the best systems that are thoroughly tested, so we wouldn’t want to do any different with nutrients. Check out this video of some of the ways I have been testing HydroponiX nutrient solutions and MX clone gel.

Sea of Green Basil

I had to do a double take when I looked at the dates on the pictures. WOW! 12 days. Look at all that growth. Looks like the hyper-oxygenated rootzone that the Super Cropper provides gives plants exactly what they need for incredible healthy growth. This grow is a test grow for a local buyer who is interested in purchasing basil from us. We still playing with the spacing and trying to minimize power usage, but at 340W total power draw we are already pushing the limits of low power producing with this Super Cropper 36 Sea of Green Basil...

Two more weeks of eggplant harvests

Our Super Cropper 15 eggplant grow continues to produce very good sized fruits. The taste is mild and almost sweet. It really is a joy to be able to grow all sorts of fruits and vegetables inside your own home. With modern LED technology such as the Penetrator 345 you can do it with a lot less energy usage than in the past. This grow totals in under 350W!

Super Cropper Rose Garden

Super Cropper Rose Garden

This was a fun experiment that I thought I’d share. I went to the local garden center and purchased a rose bush start. I took 5 cutting from the plant and surrounded them with a neoprene insert, covered them with a plastic cup and placed them in a Super Cropper 15 running pure water. After about two weeks two out of the five cuttings had manage to root. I then let the have a chance to grow roots in a mild nutrient solution and then placed them in my Super Cropper 36 along with my pepper plants. Check out my results.

Super Cropper 36 Peppers

This grow is the continuation of my glow panel grow off. Once I determined that the panels weren’t going to produce enough light to get fruits out of the Habeneros I decided to bring in four of my 90W UFOs to see if they could do any better. Check it out:

Super Cropper 15 + Penetrator 345 = Tasty Eggplants

This grow has been one of my favorite Super Cropper Grows from the beginning. The eggplants are such cool looking plants not to mention the crazy looking fruits that this fairy tale variety produces. Last weekend we where able to harvest and grill our first three eggplants. They where about 4″ long and the taste and texture where superb. The Super Cropper 15 has made this grow easy. Each plant is putting out so many flowers it’s difficult to pollinate them all!

Super Cropper Variety Garden Update

Things have gotten wild and whacky in the Super Cropper variety garden. We decided not to do any trellising or pruning for a while just to see what would happen and how the Super Cropper would hold a large biomass. Well, check it out for yourself. Some buds 3 types of peppers, Cilantro, Parsley and 2 types of basil Quite the jungle! Lights raised higher From the front
